BEWARE DONOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Sales person was very kind and helpful. I was quoted for 3 hours, because I didn't have many things. On the day of, Guys showed up on time and started packing very quickly. ( my 3 huge TV's were included in the packing quote but they didn't pack it in a box DOWNER!!) after the 2nd hour they started slowing down drastically, from there I noticed that hey got paid by hour also, my building concierge told me one of the guys was taking smoke breaks and walking very slow (I did not pay for someone to smoke!!). the guy didn't explain all the extra charges, he just gave me a total ( which i'm still debating with the sales person because she agreed that there was an error ) OVERALL BAD EXPERIENCE!! THEY TELL YOU ONE THING ANS DO ANOTHER. MOVERS TOLD ME THAT THE COVERS WERE INCLUDED. AND THEN THE COMPANY SAID NO WAY. DONT RECOMMEND. When I was conferenced in with the mover so he can explain the charges, he gave me a nasty attitude when I caught him in his lie. WORST COMPANY EVER!!

Kimberly from the office followed up to ensure we were satisfied, showing great attention to customer care. Joey, our moving advisor, provided an excellent estimate and followed up personally to make sure everything was going smoothly. The entire team communicated clearly, worked efficiently, and made sure every detail was handled with care. Before they left, we did a thorough walkthrough to ensure nothing was left behind.

I highly recommend Moving of America and will definitely be using them again when my son moves to college

Wow, where do I even begin? My experience with Moving Of America was fantastic! From the initial consultation to the final unpacking, their team was attentive and accommodating. They really took the time to understand my needs, which made me feel valued as a customer. On moving day, they were punctual, cheerful, and incredibly hardworking. They wrapped all my fragile items carefully and worked tirelessly to ensure everything was loaded efficiently. Their dedication truly showed when they quickly set up my furniture in my new place. It felt like I had friends helping me rather than a hired crew. If you’re looking for a pleasant moving experience, look no further than Moving Of America!

Move size: Commercial Move Service cost: $10000

The worst experience we have ever had with a moving company. Many of our valuable furniture pieces, crystal and other items were damaged beyond repair, moldy or packed in blankets filled with rodent feces.
We have done everything that was asked of us in terms of documenting our damages and still have not received our furniture or a resolution to the damages.
We were told that we would receive a response to our claim in 30 days. It has been almost 2 months and we still have no response. AND THEY STILL HAVE OUR FURNITURE!

I was in complete panic mode when it came to my first move. MoA made all my anxiety completely vanish- BY THE FIRST PHONE CALL! The gentleman on the phone made my feel so comfy about the move and assured me all would be done quickly and efficiently. They did not disappoint! I can tell the caliber of staff MoA employs due to initial conversation and the whole interaction of the move itself. I cannot thank them enough and have been spreading the news about my experience with them to all my friends within the NYC and NJ area who are moving within the year! KEEP IT UP GUYS! THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!

We were looking to move and talked to a moving advisor at this company. Although it was almost the close to day-end, the advisor was very nice and patient and managed to close our order. However, we had to cancel the order which we did almost immediately, within few minutes of booking, and requested the full refund of the deposit. As per the comapny’s policy and contract, there is a provision of company charging us for the order processing and administrative overheads. However, on our request on the ground of fairness, the company accepted our request and refunded us in full. This sets very high bar of better business practices and company’s willingness to go out the way to delight prospective customers. Thank you Moving of America and all people there, in Sales, accounts and administration, and management, for showing their exemplary commitment to business ethics and customer service. We look forward to doing business with Moving of America, given an opportunity in future.

Move size: Office Move Service cost: $1000

This was a local moving of a 1 BR apartment for 3 hrs by 3 movers. All boxes were already moved by us, all we had left was the marble wood furnitures of our LR& BR & 2 TVs. The movers, Joey, Bonnie & Kalen, came on time & were very nice. However, they worked very slow & took them 3 hrs to just load!

When we finally arrived to load into our new home, we were already running OT! I was very disappointed.. every 30mins was $90! The last item was my armoire unit that they refused to load in. This wasted a lot of time disputing with Operations. The final temporary solution
was to store it @ their warehouse!!

A month later, thank God for a carpenter from Queens, NY who was able to commute to their warehouse in Clifton,NJ to help take my unit for me to move it in my home. He successfully moved in my beautiful unit into my new home for me WITHOUT having to dissemble it!

Be very cautious with some of these moving companies, they just want to charge you a fortune with OT & refuse to move in all your furnitures!!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $728

My first contact with Moving of America was Joey in the office. He was very polite, helpful and professional. My quote was pretty much on point and there was nothing extra added that I was not expecting. I asked for a early morning move & that's what I got. My window of arrival was 8-10am & by 8:30 our crew was there. Our Moving Crew Leader was Joe and he had 2 more guys with him. They were friendly, professional and helpful. It was so hot and humid and rainy the morning of our move & you'd never know it with the hustle of this crew! I will say, they took a stressful situation and made it a bit easier! 100% would recommend them to a friend!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1000

First let me report that the three people who physically did the move were excellent. Unfortunately, the accounting department never sent me a final bill; they just charged my credit card a total of $1375.75 against an estimate of $988.00. I didn't think that they had gove 2&1/2 hours over to justify an extra charge @ $79.00 per half hour. Nonetheless, I several times called and requested an itemized invoice so I could see how they arrived at this figure. They immediately knew how much to charge so I assumed they had an accounting of the work. Poor communication keeps me from recommending them. It's too bad because the movers were fine but it takes a team to shine.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1375

The movers themselves did a good job disassembling, wrapping, then reassembling everything at the new location, but the final cost ended up being nearly double the quote we were provided. They do not come out to provide an estimate, it’s all done over the phone based on the number of pieces and distance between locations. There shouldn’t have been any surprises, but they upped the charge from $660 to $1200 without fully explaining the reason, only mumbling something about an extra flight of stairs (sales rep never asked me about flights of stairs when providing the quote). Overall, they did a good job, but be prepared for upcharges.

I needed to move from Paterson to Clifton on such short notice so I reached out to Moving Of America. They took all I said into consideration and got me moved out within 24 hours. Moving of America provided me with excellent service, the price was also very reasonable. They handled my furniture with great care as if it was their own. They were very quick, efficient, friendly, and professional. This has been the most stress free move I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a peace of mind when it’s time to move. From start to finish you’ve been great. Thank you to Joe and the team.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $700

The moving team members were efficient, fast, and well coordinated & completed the job within the estimated time.
Packing/unpacking were professionally done.
We moved to a 55+ community, and our new neighbor commented on the team performance mentioning that they were fast, quiet and didn't scratch or touch the walls while carrying heavy loads and big stuff upstairs, unlike what happened with the previous tenant.
It was good to start on a positive note in our new community, thanks to a good job done by “Moving of America” team.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1998

Do not hire these people. One of the workers damaged our furniture and when we contacted them to get it fixed, they sent the same movers to "fix" the furniture. These guys move items, they don't know how to fix the furniture. They took it to their shop where it was promised that a professional would fix it, but that was a LIE! They did more damage to the piece of furniture and didn't fix a thing. The furniture is even more damaged now and I don't even know if it's even fixable at this point. It has been almost 2 months, we don't have our furniture back yet and they haven't provided any solution to the problem they caused and made worse. Do NOT hire these people, they also scam on the hours, but that's a whole different story.

I am so glad I found this company. Dominic came out to my house and gave me my estimate. I felt very comfortable with him from the start. He was very pleasant and attentive to my needs. While not the lowest estimate, they were one of the lower ones.

I booked them for my move and for things out of my control I was forced to delay last minute. They were completely understanding and were happy to reschedule me for another day. When moving day finally arrived 5 men showed up (on time) and loaded up the contents of my house in 3 1/2 hours, drove to my new home and unpacked the entire truck in 2 hours. Impressive to say the least.

The men did an incredible job for a very reasonable price and I couldn't have been more pleased. Margarito and his crew were top notch. Highly recommend. My father who made the move with us used a different company and let's just say he had a very different experience. He rued his decision admitting he chose poorly.

While moving is an extremely crazy thing to ever have to do, Moving Of America did an exceptional job and I was very happy with their service. Do yourself a favor and check out this company. Oh, one last thing; they charge you from the time they arrive at your origin and end when they leave the destination. They do not charge you from when they leave their yard to when they return like most companies. This makes a difference to the bottom line.
